| Description: | The Civil Design Engineer role is responsible for work performance on transportation and Public Works projects. Work with fellow team members and supervisors to provide all necessary design, coordination, and follow-up on the work to ensure quality standards are met, efficiency levels are maintained and client satisfaction. This position will start as temporary fulltme.

| Duties: | Responsible for organizing and executing the technical quality and coordination of a broad range of project assignments requiring solid knowledge of transportation and public works projects. Under supervision, provides support to project team for transportation projects. Design efforts in conventional aspects of transportation engineering, which may include: research & analysis, traffic flow, street and highway design, road/storm/sewer drainage design, signage, striping & grading.

| Qualifications: | Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering and design with a focus on roadway and highway design.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline and EIT.
Must have knowledge in computer software utilized in the transportation industry including AutoCAD.
Microstation and InRoads knowledge is a plus.
Familiar with Caltrans and local municipality design and procedures, regulatory compliance and agency coordination.
